Genesee County, MI — On Thursday, at a news conference hosted by Genesee County, City of Burton Clerk Rachael Boggs highlighted the work local clerks are doing to ensure every eligible voter can participate in the November 2026 election safely, securely and with confidence. She explained that absentee ballots are now available and emphasized the safeguards built into the process, including Michigan’s Qualified Voter File, ballot tracking, and signature verification.

Boggs also reminded voters that early in-person voting begins October 24, providing another option in addition to absentee voting and traditional Election Day voting.

Boggs emphasized that elections are administered by people who live and work in the communities they serve, including bipartisan teams of trained election workers and local clerks from across Genesee County. She said their focus is not on election outcomes, but on administering fair, accessible and secure elections while protecting the integrity of the process. Boggs encouraged residents with questions about registration, absentee voting, early voting, or polling locations to contact their local city or township clerk.
