Genesee County Department of Veterans Services invites residents and businesses to participate in Operation Green Light, a nationwide initiative recognizing the service and sacrifices of our nation’s veterans.

This November, Genesee County residents are encouraged to show their appreciation for those who have served by displaying a green light at their homes or businesses. This simple gesture sends a powerful message to veterans throughout our community: Your service matters, your sacrifices are appreciated, and you are not forgotten.

Thanks to the generous sponsorship of PFCU Credit Union, the Genesee County Department of Veterans Services will offer free green light bulbs beginning Tuesday, November 3, to help residents participate in this meaningful initiative.

Green light bulbs will be available at the department’s office while supplies last.

Operation Green Light is an opportunity for our community to come together and demonstrate its gratitude for the men and women who have worn our nation’s uniform. Whether it’s a single porch light or an entire building illuminated in green, every light serves as a visible reminder of our community’s commitment to supporting veterans.

Together, let’s light up Genesee County green and show our veterans that they are seen, valued, and supported!
