Genesee County, MI — One of Genesee County’s biggest annual events is officially underway.

The Ally Challenge presented by McLaren returns to Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club in Grand Blanc Township this weekend, bringing three days of PGA TOUR Champions competition, live music, and activities for fans of all ages. The first round of tournament competition begins today, Friday, Aug. 28, with the championship continuing through Sunday.

Today’s festivities extend well beyond the golf course. Following the opening round, fans can gather around Warwick Hills’ famous 17th hole for The Concert @17, featuring The Wildflowers, an internationally touring Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers tribute band. The concert is expected to begin around 7 p.m. and is included with Friday grounds admission.

The weekend’s biggest musical event arrives Saturday night when country music superstar Keith Urban headlines the Ally Community Concert. Nashville Yacht Club Band will open the evening before Urban takes the stage at approximately 8 p.m. on the Warwick Hills driving range. A drone show will follow the concert. Saturday grounds tickets include general admission to the concert.

On Sunday, the focus turns back to the course as the tournament’s final round determines the 2026 Ally Challenge champion. The weekend also includes fan destinations and activities throughout the grounds, making the event about much more than golf.

Now in its ninth year, The Ally Challenge has become one of Genesee County’s signature summertime events, drawing visitors to our community while generating significant support for charitable organizations throughout the greater Flint area and beyond. Since the tournament began in 2018, it has contributed more than $9.6 million to charity.

The Genesee County Board of Commissioners is proud to support The Ally Challenge and help welcome residents and visitors to an exciting weekend of professional golf, entertainment, and community celebration right here in Genesee County.

Tickets are still available for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with children 17 and younger receiving free grounds admission when accompanied by a ticketed adult.
