Genesee County, MI — On May 21, dozens gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new addition at Wolverine Campground in northeast Genesee County. After the ribbon cutting, Genesee County Parks Director Patrick Linihan gave a tour of the 50 new camp sites. Along with the new sites, three new modern shower/restroom buildings have been added as well as 50-amp electrical service.

Wolverine Campground is a hidden gem in Genesee County. It is a beloved destination for outdoor enthusiasts seeking adventure and relaxation. Over the past several years, Wolverine has become one of the most family-friendly campgrounds in the region — and now even more families will be able to enjoy the picturesque venue on the shores of the Holloway Reservoir.

“With the addition of these 50 new sites, the campground’s capacity has been expanded to accommodate more visitors, providing an even greater opportunity for families, friends, and solo adventurers to connect with nature,” Linihan said. “If you want a campsite for this summer, you’d better get one now.”
