Genesee County, MI — Genesee County will host a community input session on Tuesday, September 22, to share information and answer questions about the County’s planned Recycling and Education Center. The session will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the first-floor Community Room of the Genesee County Administration Building, 324 S. Saginaw Street in downtown Flint.

Staff from the Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission will provide an overview of the approximately $12.7 million project planned for the former McDonald Dairy property at the corner of Chavez Drive and Robert T. Longway Boulevard in Flint.

The Recycling and Education Center is designed to provide Genesee County residents with greater access to safe, responsible disposal of household chemicals, paint, cleaners, electronics, and general recyclables at no charge, while also creating new opportunities for environmental education. Residents will have an opportunity to view renderings of the proposed facility and participate in a question-and-answer session with County staff.
