Saying that Jessi Allen goes above and beyond is putting it mildly.

As an employee and foster for Genesee County Animal Care (GCAC), Jessi demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to animals in need, including Meeko, a dog with visual impairments who spent more than two months at the shelter.

As Meeko’s staff mentor, Jessi developed an individualized care plan to meet his unique needs. She also provided invaluable guidance to help Meeko decompress and adjust to life in a home.

“It didn’t matter the type of question or the time of day, Jessi always made me feel heard and would respond in a supportive and positive way. “I believe she is invaluable to GCAC and her contributions beyond my words are endless.”

Jessi is a shining example of someone who lives Genesee County’s values of excellence, trust, integrity and compassion every day.

Thank you, Jessi, for making a positive impact!
