Genesee Healthy Start, InvolvedDad and the Genesee County Fatherhood Collaborative invite families to the 2^nd annual Dad Stroll Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Mott Park Clubhouse. Genesee Healthy Start is a program of the Genesee County Health Department (GCHD). This free event is a heartfelt celebration of fathers and father figures whose everyday presence strengthens the fabric of our community.

The Dad Stroll is community-centered event that gives families the opportunity to walk side by side with the men who’ve made a difference in their lives. More than a walk, it’s a tribute to the men who lead with love, mentor with purpose, and show up with strength.

“Returning for a second year reflects our community’s ongoing commitment to investing in fathers and families,” said Brittany Monge, Genesee Healthy Start Supervisor at GCHD. “Every step taken during the Dad Stroll represents stronger relationships, healthier children, and a brighter future for Genesee County. The Dad Stroll is an opportunity to honor those contributions, share stories, and create new memories together.”

Event Details:

• When: Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9:00AM to 1:00PM. The walk begins at 10:00AM
• Where: Mott Park Clubhouse, 2401 Nolen Drive, Flint, MI
• Cost: Free and open to all ages

• Community resources and information from local organizations that support families
• Father and child free throw contest
• Light refreshments
• Prizes and giveaways throughout the event
• Fun activities for all ages

Everyone is welcome. Whether you’re a father, partner, grandfather, uncle, mentor, or simply someone who shows up with love and leadership, this event is for you. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring lawn chairs or blankets for outside festivities.
