Downtown Flint is the place to be this weekend as Back to the Bricks brings an exciting weekend of classic cars, live music, food, and community to the heart of Genesee County.

The Cruise ‘n’ Concert festivities run from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, August 14, with collector cars filling downtown streets and a free live concert beginning at 6 p.m.

Saginaw Street and surrounding side streets will close to regular traffic beginning at 3 p.m. to make room for collector cars, vendors, and concertgoers. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, bring their lawn chairs, and spend the afternoon and evening exploring everything Downtown Flint has to offer.

The music gets underway at 6 p.m. on the Big Stage at Kearsley and Saginaw streets.

The excitement continues Saturday as Back to the Bricks Main Event returns to downtown Flint. Thousands of visitors are expected on the bricks to see classic and collector vehicles of every age and style, take photos, shop with automotive vendors, grab a bite to eat, and experience one of the nation’s premier automotive celebrations.

The day begins with the event’s Opening Ceremony at 10 a.m. This special ceremony, honoring America 250, features a local high school marching band, which pays tribute to the men and women of the armed forces for their service and sacrifice to our country. The program will include live music from the band, an Invocation, and an inspiring performance of our National Anthem, with a military flyover.
