Looking for a fun and creative way to spend time together this summer? Bring the whole family to the Flint Institute of Arts (FIA)for Funday Mondays, a free series of hands-on artmaking experiences designed for families to explore, imagine, and create together.
We are so fortunate to have an incredible arts scene in Genesee County, and the FIA is at the heart of it all.
Each Monday, families can enjoy a new artmaking theme inspired by the FIA collection, contemporary artists, nature, design, and imaginative play. Participants will have the chance to experiment with a variety of materials, techniques, and ideas—all while making memories together.
Funday Mondays are free to attend, with two sessions offered each week:
- 10:00–11:30 a.m.
- 2:30–4:00 p.m.
The program runs every Monday from July 6 through August 10. Sessions will take place in Isabel Hall at the Flint Institute of Arts, except for the July 13 program, which will be held outdoors.
All art supplies are provided, so families can simply arrive ready to create. Children must attend with a parent, guardian, or other adult, as these are family art experiences rather than drop-off programs.
Whether your family is full of experienced artists or simply looking for a new way to spend a summer Monday, Funday Mondays offer an inviting space to make art, try something new, and enjoy time together.
