Genesee County, MI — Members of the America 250 Commission convened Thursday afternoon to share exciting news about the group’s work aimed at creating exciting activities and events corresponding with America’s semiquincentennial.

Genesee County Board of Commissioners Chairman Dale K. Weighill offered remarks alongside former Lt. Governor and honorary co-chair, John Cherry, Genesee County Parks Director Patrick Linihan and Todd Slisher, Executive Director of Sloan Longway.

“In my view, (America 250) is not only the celebration of an anniversary, it’s a recommitment to our founding principles,” Weighill said.

Weighill shared his gratitude for the work of the America 250 Commission and everyone who has supported it thus far.
