Genesee County is a proud supporter of the YMCA of Greater Flint. Its brand new, multi-use facility on the corner of Third and Harrison Streets in Downtown Flint is near completion!

Thank you to everyone who made this dream a reality for the residents of Genesee County, and especially the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation for its incredible $16.5 million grant.

The beautiful facility is 50,000 square feet and features 50 units of apartments along with space for the Hurley Physical Therapy Clinic and the Crim Fitness Foundation. The facility will have a pool, splash pad, indoor track and the other amenities you’ve come to expect at the YMCA. The site of current YMCA (adjacent to the new one) will be sold and the property used for future development.

We have been watching this facility from the ground up over the last two years, and it is so exciting to see a new community development asset take shape in Genesee County!
