Genesee County, MI — It was absolute pandemonium on Sunday night at Flint’s historic Atwood Stadium, as the Flint City Bucks punched their ticket to the USL League Two National Championship match with a 1-0 win over Ventura. Oliver Moller-Jensen scored with less than a minute remaining in stoppage time to give the Bucks the win and a chance for the club’s 5th National Championship.
And here’s the best news: The National Championship Final will be held at Atwood Stadium in Flint! The reigning champions from Vermont Green FC will travel to Flint for the match on Saturday at 7:30 PM.

One of the storylines of the match, and truly the entire season for the Bucks, is the incredible support they’ve received from fans here in Genesee County and across the region.
Here’s a great description of what the support has meant to the success of the club from Flint.Daily:
Another advantage for the Bucks all weekend was a raucous home crowd that included the always passionate River Rats supporter section, the Hamady High School marching band, and thousands of fans for matches on July 24 and 26. That crowd erupted when Moller-Jensen found the net on Sunday.
“It means a lot,” Doroh said. “The city of Flint has embraced this team since we got here and the support has just grown over the years. This year it seemed even more special. More and more people came out, and the weather cooperated, so that was always a good thing. Just to have the fans behind you and kind of being that 12th man and, and urging you on to victory, it’s special and the boys definitely feel it on the field.”
Pack the House
The Bucks have long been one of the premier organizations in USL League Two, building a national reputation for winning championships, developing elite players and representing Flint and Genesee County with excellence and class.
Now, after another incredible postseason run, the Bucks are just one win away from adding another national championship to their remarkable history.
But they’ll need all hands on deck for one more match.
The goal Saturday night isn’t just to win a championship. It’s to create an atmosphere that USL League Two has never seen before.
We have an opportunity to break the attendance record for a USL League Two Championship match, and we believe we can do it! Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring your soccer team. Wear your Bucks colors and help fill Atwood Stadium for one of the biggest nights in Flint soccer history!
