It is with profound gratitude that the Genesee County Board of Commissioners pays tribute to the remarkable life and legacy of Floyd E. Clack, a tireless advocate for our community, an inspiring educator, and a cherished leader in Genesee County. Clack passed away on Thursday, April 3.
Clack’s tenure on the Board of Commissioners from 1996 to 2004 was marked by an unwavering dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of our residents. For his service, we are forever grateful.
His steadfast commitment to the ideals of public service was the hallmark of his entire career. He devoted over a decade of service to the Flint City Council, where he gave voice to the needs and desires of the community.
He also represented his constituents with honor and integrity in the Michigan House of Representatives for four years. His love for education was also illustrated through his many years as a teacher and student advocate within the Flint Community Schools, where he made a lasting impact on the lives of countless students and colleagues.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to his beloved wife, the Honorable Brenda Clack, son Michael and daughter Mia, along with his grandchildren, extended family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
May his memory be eternal.
