Night sky densely packed with stars and a bright meteor streak

Get ready to experience the night sky in a whole new way. As part of the For-Mar Earth Week Series, For-Mar Nature Preserve & Arboretum is inviting the community to celebrate International Dark Sky Week, April 13-20, with an evening of outdoor adventure, discovery, and fun.

This special event will feature naturalist-led stations with guided hikes, star stories, and night sky trivia. Hikes will last about 20 to 25 minutes and include a steep hill, giving participants a chance to enjoy the outdoors while learning more about the wonders above us.

The program is best for ages 10 and older and costs just $5 per vehicle. Pre-registration is required by April 16, 2026, so be sure to reserve your spot early. Please note that pets and comfort animals should be left at home.

Pre-registration is required by April 16, 2026, and registration is per vehicle. To sign up, visit the registration link here: Register for the event
