April is National County Government Month, and in Genesee County, it’s the perfect time to celebrate one of the things that makes our organization so unique: the incredible range of careers, talents, and services that come together every day to serve our community.

That diversity was on full display recently when departments from across Genesee County visited a local high school to talk with students about career opportunities with Genesee County. What stood out was not just the students’ excitement, but the realization among many of our own employees that Genesee County truly is one of the most diverse workplaces in the region. There isn’t another organization in Genesee County with such a wide variety of career paths all in one place.

From legal services to public health, civil engineering to human services, environmental stewardship to animal care, public safety to public utilities, and finance to IT, Genesee County offers opportunities that span an extraordinary range of professions.
