Genesee County, MI — On Wednesday evening, our very own Anthony Walter was recognized at the Art of Achievement Awards. Walter, who serves as Operations Manager of Genesee County Parks, was honored by the Flint & Genesee Group as the Certified Tourism Ambassador of the Year. This recognition shines a light on the energy, commitment, and genuine care Anthony brings to his work every single day.

Anthony’s dedication to tourism and economic development has made a measurable and lasting impact across our community. He has been an incredible caretaker of public assets in Genesee County — places like Mounds ORV Park, Bluegill Boat Launch and Wolverine Campground. Through his leadership, the Parks team consistently creates welcoming, memorable experiences for residents and visitors alike. Anthony sets a high bar for customer amazement!

His passion for the work of the county reflects the very best of our who we are, what we do and why we do it.

Congratulations, Anthony!
