Genesee County, MI — Genesee County Healthy Start, in partnership with InvolvedDad, is proud to announce the inaugural Dad Stroll. This is a heartfelt celebration of fathers and father figures whose everyday presence strengthens the fabric of our community.

The event will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mott Park Clubhouse, 2401 Nolen Drive, Flint, MI.

The Dad Stroll is community-centered event that gives families the opportunity to walk side by side with the men who’ve made a difference in their lives. More than a walk, it’s a tribute to the men who lead with love, mentor with purpose, and show up with strength.

“In Genesee County, we know that strong families build strong communities, and father figures play a vital role in that foundation,” said Brittany Monge, Genesee Healthy Start Supervisor. “The Dad Stroll is an opportunity to honor those contributions, share stories, and create new memories together.”

The celebration will feature:

  • Community resources and information from local organizations that support families
  • A father/child free throw contest
  • Temporary tattoo station and family-friendly games
  • Light refreshments for attendees

Admission is free and open to all ages. Whether you’re a father, partner, grandfather, uncle, mentor, or simply someone who shows up with love and leadership, this event is for you. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring lawn chairs or blankets for the festivities.
