Our friends at WNEM 5 did an update on a project the Genesee County Board of Commissioners was proud to support last year.

The Sacred Heart Veteran Village is a Comprehensive Transitional Housing Program for Veterans overseen by the Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties. Located on the corner of Saginaw and Moore Street in Flint, the site of the former Sacred Heart Parish, phase 1 of construction is well underway.

The project has received funding from numerous sources including $75,000 in Veterans Millage funds from Genesee County.
