Genesee County, MI — In spite of the rain, wind and temperatures in the 40s on Wednesday, there was a huge turnout for the VAAA Senior Power Day 2025 at Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad.

The Valley Area Agency on Aging (VAAA) hosts the event and invites senior citizens from Genesee, Lapeer, and Shiawassee counties for a day full of fun and engaging activities. Senior Power Day is an annual event that is entertaining and informative, connecting seniors from across our region with a whole host of programs, services and resources.

Last year, 1,700 seniors were in attendance and this year’s participation was impressive in spite of the weather.

Genesee County was out in full force with representatives from Senior Services, Veterans Services, Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, Office of Clerk-Register and Planning.
