The Judges of the 67th District Court, Genesee County Probate Court and the 7th
Judicial Circuit Court have determined that Law Day 2025, May 1, 2025, should be recognized by the judiciary.

The theme for Law Day 2025 is “Out of Many, One.”

From the Judiciary: “We collectively urge all citizens to take pride in the United States Constitution that bridges our differences to bring us together as a united nation to serve the common good through our representative form of government, jury service and a regular census.

“The first Law Day was established by President Dwight D. Eisenhower on May 1,
1958 and included the following: ‘Whereas our Government has served as an inspiration and a beacon light for oppressed peoples of the world seeking freedom, justice and equality for the individual under laws; I especially urge the legal profession to promote and to participate in the observance of this day.’”

The Judges of the 67th District Court, Genesee County Probate Court, the 7th Judicial Circuit Court and all of Genesee County acknowledge and celebrate Law Day 2025.

The signatories are:

  • David J. Newblatt, Chief Judge, Genesee County Circuit and Probate Courts
  • Elizabeth A. Kelly, Chief Judge Pro Tem, Genesee County Circuit Court
  • William H. Crawford II, Chief Judge, Sixty Seventh District Court
  • Vikki Bayeh Haley, Chief Judge Pro Tem, Sixty Seventh District Court
