As we kick off NPHW (April 7–13, 2025), we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible work the staff of the Genesee County Health Department does every day to protect and improve the health of our residents.

This year’s theme, “It Starts Here,” reminds us that the health and well-being of our neighbors, families, and future generations begins with the actions we take right here and now.

Whether providing direct services, conducting inspections, managing programs, communicating with the public, or working behind the scenes, the dedication of our staff is what makes GCHD such an important part of the community.
