The Genesee County Board of Commissioners expresses its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of retired Judge Archie L. Hayman, who passed away on Friday, March 14.
Judge Hayman dedicated over two decades of his life to serving our community from the bench. Judge Hayman began his judicial career in the District Court in Flint before being appointed to the 7th Circuit Court, where he served as Chief Judge for six years.
His leadership in the 7th Circuit Court, coupled with his commitment to justice, set an example for others to follow.
As we grieve his loss, we remember Judge Hayman not only for his professional achievements but also for his long-term commitment to public service.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this time of sorrow.
To honor the life and legacy of Judge Archie Hayman, Genesee County Board of Commissioners Chairman Delrico J. Loyd has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff at county buildings.
