We are excited to announce that, after months of diligent preparation for Genesee County’s annual audit, we have received confirmation that there were no audit findings for the third consecutive year! This achievement is especially remarkable considering that, prior to this streak, we had not experienced an audit without findings since 2006.
Our hats off to the financial team in our Fiscal Services Department for their exceptional work on behalf of Genesee County and all our residents.

About Fiscal Services
The Fiscal Services Department prepares and maintains the county budget, compiles the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, manages audits and vendor claims, processes payroll, and includes the Purchasing Department for efficient procurement.
CFO Chrystal Simpson is the accounting officer of Genesee County. The CFO is directly accountable to the Genesee County Board of Commissioners.
