From Delrico J. Loyd: As Chairman of the Genesee County Board of Commissioners, I have consulted with the Chief Judges of the circuit and District Courts and have determined that all non-essential County operations will be closed today, Thursday, February 13, 2025, due to the severe winter weather conditions.

All Essential County Employees (who are defined as those working in the following departments: Facilities & Operations, Genesee County Juvenile Justice Center, Parks & Recreation, the Office of the Sheriff, and Animal Control), will remain on the job today, per Genesee County Board of Commissioner’s Adopted Resolution 2019-508.

Please be advised that all county operations will resume regular operations on Friday, February 14, 2025.

I encourage everyone to remain safe and thoughtful of those in need during this most critical time.
