Genesee County, MI — The Mundy Township Senior & Enrichment Center is now the proud owner of a new passenger van purchased with ARPA funds earmarked by the Genesee County Board of Commissioners.
The Board invested $1.6 million in ARPA funds aimed at improvements at all 16 senior centers in Genesee County, bringing much-needed facility upgrades, accessibility, improvements and beautification. All told, the grants equaled $100,000 for each senior center.
“We are committed to supporting our senior communities across Genesee County,” said Dr. Beverly Brown, who represents Mundy Township residents on the Board of Commissioners. “We are proud to be able to assist this incredible community asset in its goal of becoming even more accessible to residents.”
Any excess funds from the grant will be used to purchase furnishings for the Center, which is a non-profit organization that operates under the Charter Township of Mundy.
We are also grateful for the critical role the Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission plays in the administration of grants like this one.
