Genesee County, MI — Mike Dawisha, Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Genesee County, was honored with the Futurist CIO Award during an event hosted by CXO, Inc in Troy last week.

The award was presented following a panel discussion focused on the ever-changing role of the CIO in the organization. Mike shared his experiences and insights on how CIOs can drive innovation and, ultimately, meet the challenges of our evolving technological landscape.

Under Mike’s leadership, Genesee County’s Information Technology Department has made incredible strides in numerous areas, including cybersecurity, customer service, staff communications and support for major initiatives like NextGenesee, our drive to bring universal broadband access to every home and business in Genesee County.
