Genesee County, MI — The Genesee County Board of Commissioners is excited to announce the availability of funding for housing development across Genesee County.
The Housing Impact Fund aims to provide financial support to organizations
committed to growing Genesee County’s housing stock. Developers are invited to
apply for funding to build either single-family or multi-family units for rental or homeownership. A total of $10.5 million is available through the HOME Investment
Partnership, HOME-ARP, and Genesee County Housing Impact Funds. Both nonprofit and for-profit organizations are encouraged to apply.
Initial applications are due by December 16, 2024, at 5 p.m. All submissions will
be reviewed and scored by our staff. Based on the project type, GCMPC will
determine the appropriate funding source. Projects deemed eligible will receive
detailed application instructions.
This grant opportunity supports Genesee County’s goal of community growth and
healthy, livable and safe communities by assisting organizations in meeting the
demand for affordable housing within the County.
