Genesee County, MI — At Wednesday evening’s regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, Aleena Hajek was honored by the Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD) with the Peppy Rosenthal Humanitarian Award for her incredible work as a volunteer in the Nutrition Services Program. Since 1973, GCCARD has provided hot, nutritious meals to eligible persons throughout Genesee County.

Aleena’s work with our homebound senior residents during the Pandemic was inspiring, and made a huge impact on the lives of our residents.

The Award is a service of the Community Foundation of Greater Flint.

Thank you, Aleena!
