Genesee County, MI — Recently, a pair of Genesee County Veterans Service team members were recognized for their incredible service to veterans in Genesee County.
Beth Smith was commended by Colonel Daniel J. Kramer II, Commander of the 110th Wing, Michigan Air National Guard, for her unwavering commitment and dedication to processing a deceased veteran’s claim. Through Beth’s perseverance and the collaborative efforts of Andrea Foster from Congressman Dan Kildee’s office, they significantly impacted the lives of the surviving family.
Additionally, our Outreach Coordinator, Lauren Thompson, received recognition from the Great Lakes National Cemetery for her outstanding dedication to the veteran community. Those who have interacted with Lauren at events can attest to her tireless efforts in assisting veterans, fostering an environment where they feel comfortable seeking guidance and asking questions.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to both Beth and Lauren for their exemplary dedication to our team, our community, and, most importantly, to our veterans. They exemplify the ethos of “Saluting Service Through Service.”
