In order to promote Genesee County’s goal of healthy, livable, and safe communities, the Genesee County Metro Planning Commission (GCMPC) will be holding a free tire recycling event for residents on May 18. This event is being held in partnership with the City of Flint and Environmental Rubber Recycling. The event will run from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Environmental Rubber Recycling’s location at 6515 North Dort Highway in Flint.

Event Guidelines

• Up to 10 passenger tires accepted per vehicle
• Tires off rim only
• No commercial or agricultural tires
• No commercial vehicles may enter (e.g. box trucks, tractor trailers, commercial trailers, etc.)
• No appointments required
