Genesee County, MI –  Three local communities in Genesee County will receive an equal share of $850,000 in Community Project Funding  from the Office of U.S. Congressman Dan Kildee. The funds will be invested in the enhancement and upgrade of parks in Swartz Creek, Mundy Township and Grand Blanc Township, to ensure they are inclusive for all individuals of all abilities. 

“This funding is not just an investment in parks, it’s an investment in people,” said Patrick Linihan, Genesee County Parks Director, on behalf of the three recipient communities. “This funding will help ensure that we continue to provide access to our outdoor spaces to everyone, regardless of ability, across Genesee County. We are incredibly grateful to Congressman Kildee and everyone in his office who share our vision for healthy, safe and livable communities.”

The funds will be invested in the the Mundy Miracle Commons (Mundy Township), Otterburn Park (City of Swartz Creek) and Creasey Bicentennial Park (Grand Blanc Township).
