Genesee County, MI — Get ready to roll up your sleeves and be a hero, Genesee County! The American Red Cross and the National Marrow Donor Program are gearing up for a pair of blood drives at the Genesee County Administration Building. With a 40% decline in donations over the past two decades, there’s an urgent need to maintain a stable blood supply.

Please join One Genesee, our employee engagement group, as we host two blood drives and resource fairs on April 3 and June 21, 2024, from 10 am to 4 pm.

From the Health Department’s team of nurses and educators to our courts and community corrections workers, we are here to make a positive impact for all Genesee County residents.

“Our team serves the public every day in so many ways,” said Tammy Philips, Chief Assistant Prosecutor. “In our office, we see tragedies from car accidents to violent crimes, leaving victims in need. Donating blood helps fill shortages, ensuring timely treatment and saving lives. Let’s replenish this vital resource together!”

In addition to blood donation opportunities, attendees (and prospective donors) will receive registration information from the National Marrow Donation Program.

Please join us as we show the world what Genesee County is made of — one pint of blood at a time!

  • Dates: April 3 and June 21
  • Location: Ground Floor Cafeteria, Genesee County Admin Building, 1101 Beach St., Flint, MI 48502
