Genesee County, MI — Did you know that nine out of ten people are breathing unhealthy air due to airborne pollutants globally? To mitigate this problem, Genesee County’s Air Quality Awareness Program is an initiative aimed at promoting awareness and understanding of air quality issues within our community. We believe that by raising awareness and fostering a sense of responsibility among residents, we can work together to create a healthier environment for future generations and meet Genesee County’s priority of healthy, livable, and safe communities through environmental stewardship.
The Air Quality Awareness Program focuses on educating residents about the importance of air quality, the factors that contribute to it, and the actions we can take to improve it such as riding a bike, recycling, or carpooling to work. Through outreach and informational resources, we aim to empower individuals to make informed choices that positively impact our environment and health.
